What is kept
- Paragraphs and headings, in order.
- Bulleted and numbered lists, with their real numbering (1., a), i. and so on).
- Tables, one row per line with tabs between cells.
- Links, with the address after the link text.
Left out
- Images, text boxes, headers, footers, footnotes and comments.
- Deleted text from tracked changes (inserted text is kept).
- Older .doc files: save them as .docx in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice first.
