How to make a Gantt chart
- Paste your tasks: name, start date and end date (or a number of days) on each line.
- Add a group and progress % if you like, and a title.
- Download it as PNG, SVG or PowerPoint.
What it shows
- A bar for each task, from its first to its last day, with its length in days or its progress.
- Colors by group (Planning, Design, Build…), with a legend.
- Milestones: a task that starts and ends on the same day is a diamond.
- A "today" line, and a time scale in days, weeks or months to fit the plan.
Dates
- Dates can be 2026-10-12, 12/10/2026, 12 Oct 2026 or Oct 12, 2026. Choose whether your dates are written day first or month first.
- Instead of an end date, give the number of days: 5 means the task lasts five days.
- Dates copied from Excel as numbers (such as 46307) are understood too.
Your plan stays on your device
The chart is drawn in your browser. Your tasks are never uploaded, and this site's security policy blocks the page from sending anything.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the chart later?
Yes. Save the PNG, and open it here again with "Open a chart PNG made here": the task list and settings come back.
Is it a full project planning app?
No: it draws a timeline from your list. Dependencies, working days and resources aren't calculated. Keep the plan in your spreadsheet and paste it here whenever it changes.
