Good to know
- The result keeps the original format (MP3 stays MP3, and so on).
- 200% is about twice as loud (+6 dB); 50% is about half.
- Loudness (LUFS) brings the whole file to the level streaming services, podcast apps or broadcasters expect (−14, −16 or −23 LUFS), measured to ITU-R BS.1770.
- Peak normalize makes the loudest moment reach the maximum level without distortion.
- The sound is encoded again at high quality.

Frequently asked questions
Is normalizing the same as making speech clearer?
No. It raises the whole file evenly. Quiet speech next to loud music stays quieter than the music.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser and never sent anywhere.
