How to change the speed of a video
- Choose your video.
- Pick a speed from 0.25× to 4× (or type your own) and what happens to the sound.
- Press the button and download the video.
The sound
- Keep the normal pitch: voices stay natural at any speed (the sound is time-stretched).
- Higher or lower with the speed: like playing a tape faster or slower.
- Remove the sound: for silent time-lapses.
Good to know
- Slow motion shows each frame longer; it doesn't invent frames in between, so very slow speeds can look choppy.
- Fast videos are kept at no more than 60 frames per second, so they play smoothly everywhere.
- It uses your browser's built-in video technology: best in current Chrome and Edge, and recent Safari and Firefox versions.
Your video stays on your device
