How to convert MKV to MP4

  1. Choose your MKV video.
  2. The output is set to MP4; choose the quality used if the video has to be re-encoded.
  3. Press Convert and download the MP4 file.

Good to know

  • Video and sound in MP4-compatible codecs (H.264, HEVC, AAC) are copied; others are converted.
  • Subtitle tracks inside the MKV aren't copied. Save them separately if you need them.
  • When the video and sound can be copied into the new format as they are, they are not re-encoded: no quality loss, and very fast.
  • Best in current Chrome and Edge; recent Safari and Firefox work too.
