How to split an image

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Pick a preset (halves, carousel, 2 × 2, 3 × 3) or set the number of rows and columns.
  3. Check the cutting lines on the preview and download all tiles as a ZIP.

Good to know

  • Tiles are as equal as possible. When the size doesn't divide evenly, some tiles are one pixel wider or taller, so nothing is lost.
  • Files are numbered from the top left, row by row (01, 02, 03…), and named with their row and column.
  • For a profile grid, post the tiles in reverse order, last tile first, so they appear in the right places.
  • Apps may crop grid previews to a different shape, so keep important details away from the tile edges.

How many pieces can I make?

Up to 100 rows and 100 columns, as long as each piece is at least one pixel.

Is the quality reduced?

Tiles are cut from the full-size image. Choose PNG for an exact copy, or JPG/WebP for smaller files.

Are my images uploaded?

No. They are processed in your browser and never sent anywhere.
