How to optimize an SVG
- Choose your SVG files, or paste SVG code.
- Pick what to clean and how many decimals to keep. Results update immediately.
- Compare the before and after previews, then download or copy the code.
What it removes
- Comments, the XML declaration and the DOCTYPE.
- Metadata and editor data from Illustrator, Inkscape, Sketch and others.
- Scripts and on… event handlers, which makes files safer to share.
- Empty groups, unused namespaces and extra spaces.
- Extra decimals in coordinates (2 decimals is invisible in practice).
Good to know
- Comments starting with "!" (usually licenses) are kept.
- The title and description are kept by default, because screen readers use them.
- This tool makes safe clean-ups. It does not merge shapes or rewrite paths the way advanced optimizers like SVGO can, so very complex files may shrink less.
- Always check the "After" preview, especially with 1 decimal.
Your images stay on your device
Everything happens in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, so private photos and client work stay with you.

Will my SVG look different?
With the default settings, no. Removing more decimals (1 decimal) can slightly move small details; the preview shows the result.
Can I optimize many files at once?
Yes. Add as many SVG files as you like and download them all as a ZIP.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The SVGs are read and cleaned in your browser.
