How to validate JSON

  1. Paste your JSON.
  2. Press Validate JSON.
  3. If there is an error, its line and column are shown and the problem is selected in the text box. Fix it and validate again.

Common JSON errors

  • A comma after the last item in an object or array.
  • Single quotes instead of double quotes around strings and keys.
  • Keys without quotes.
  • Comments, which standard JSON does not allow.
  • Special values such as NaN, Infinity or undefined.
