How to format JSON
- Paste your JSON.
- Choose 2 spaces, 4 spaces or tabs, and press Format JSON, or press Minify.
- Copy the result or save it as a .json file.
Good to know
- If the JSON is invalid, the exact line and column of the problem are shown.
- Keys keep their order unless you turn on Sort keys alphabetically. One exception: keys that are whole numbers, such as "1" or "42", move to the front in number order, because that is how browsers store JSON objects.
- Very large numbers (beyond JavaScript's safe integer range) can lose precision when formatted; the tool warns you when your JSON contains them.
Is my JSON sent anywhere?
No. Formatting happens in your browser, so it is safe for configuration files and API responses that contain private data.
Mga madalas itanong
What is the difference between formatting and minifying?
Formatting adds line breaks and indentation for reading. Minifying removes all unnecessary spaces to make the file as small as possible.
Does it fix invalid JSON?
No. It shows where the error is so you can fix it.
Is my JSON uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
