How to find AI-sounding phrases
- Paste your text.
- Look at the marked words and the table of plainer choices.
- Rewrite the marked parts in your own words. The Em Dash Remover takes care of the dashes.
What it looks for
- Over 120 words and phrases that AI assistants use far more than people do, such as "delve", "tapestry", "testament to", "seamless", "leverage", "it's worth noting" and "in today's fast-paced world", each with plainer alternatives.
- Stock constructions: "not just X, but Y", "it's not X, it's Y", "here's the thing", and summary openers like "In conclusion,".
- Long dashes, which generated text uses a lot.
- Clichés such as "at the end of the day".
- How much your sentence lengths vary: people naturally mix short and long sentences, generated text is often very even.
This is not an AI detector
No tool can reliably tell whether a text was written by AI, and this one doesn't try. People use these words too. It shows where your text sounds generic, so you can make it more specific and more your own.
Häufige Fragen

Language models learn from huge amounts of text and from feedback, which nudges them toward a polished, formal style with certain favourite words. Repeated across millions of texts, those words stand out.
Can I use this to humanize AI text?
It shows what to change, and suggests plainer words. The best fix is to rewrite those parts with your own details and opinions.
